Dr. Dimick really did well. Concise and systematic. Especially appreciate the short and sweet summaries of the operations as I am preparing for boards.

    Love this book

Surgical intern here. I love that this book is cased based, because if im covering a random case I can flip through it the night before and read up not only on the surgery, but the diagnosis, workup, and treatment. It’s not everything you need, but it’s a highly helpful tool when you’re trying to multitask handling the floor and also some intern level cases.

Used this book to practice scenarios for my oral surgery boards with some colleagues. 4 scenario came directly from the book and the rest were very similar in nature. I literally rattled off work up and they responded back with the exact numbers and findings from the textbook so I had to double check my own memory that I wasn’t hearing things wrong. Highly recommended as a study guide. Used safe answers as well and considered that the most expensive toilet paper I purchased. I passed of course

  9. RBR

Bought this on the recommendation of an attending to help prep for oral boards. This is a great resource for general surgery residents. The chapters are broken down and easy to read. This is a great adjunct to any formal surgical text book.

One of the most amazing books..
    High quality printing
    High quality contents

  11. Andrew

Not everything you need to know as a surgeon but enough to get you through the scenarios. I used this book cover to cover and the BTK podcasts and passed my orals. If you are really weak in certain areas you will definitely need another resource

  12. Dr Mauro Miceli

I’m really happy with this purchase

  13. Ashoke k Das

The content of the book is superbly laid out with a strong clinical bias. I would strongly recommend for the candidates preparing for board examination

If you’re a general surgery resident, there is no excuse to not purchase this book. It is probably more necessary than Cameron’s or Mastery. Get it and become familiar with it a couple of years before CE. Can be used very well in conjunction with Osler.

  15. AHMED SAMIR

    Good book

  16. Abundant Joy

Making a list of possible diagnosis is critical to good medicine. This text develops that skill.
