I am a PGY-2 Internal Medicine resident in California. I just finished reading this book, and looking back, I wish I would have read this book before even beginning residency.

Eminently readable book which focuses on the practical points you need to know to get a jump start in your residency. Geared towards Internal Medicine but a must read for all rising medical students, nursing, NPs, PAs and residents who are interested in knowing the basics of how to manage common encounters during the initial years of your training. Highly recommended!

I was looking for one thing to read before I start residency but a lot of the materials out there seem like it will take too long to read and may be counterproductive because it get too detailed–not this book. This book is the perfect balance of information presented in an easily absorbed format
